ACTAVO LINING DUBLIN’S STREETS FOR ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
Infrastructure equates to 13 Kilometres of barriers
Actavo Events, the leading infrastructure company, for the 18th consecutive year will collaborate with St. Patrick’s Festival to provide event infrastructure in Dublin city centre for this year’s event.
A 140-strong Actavo Events team will install a staggering thirteen kilometres of crowd control barriers; eleven pedestrian crossing points; six separate media structures to support live broadcasting; and two mobile grandstands for dignitaries. The complex logistics of the event will be coordinated from the command centre. Once the official parade has concluded, the Actavo Events crew will begin the process of removing all infrastructure from city centre, and will work with An Gardaí Siochána to ensure there is minimal disruption.
Kate O’Riordan, Programme Manager at Actavo Events, said; “The St Patrick’s Day Parade is a global landmark event and Actavo is very proud to be a trusted partner. We have been working with the St Patrick’s Festival since 2009 so every year the whole process becomes more efficient. Our top priority is the safety of the public, and crowd control infrastructure is crucial to this at any public event, not to mention one as big as the St Patrick’s Day Parade.”

The company will also utilise technology to enable team members to effectively manage their time and traffic management software to ensure that Traffic Management Plans are as efficient as possible, minimising disruption.
