BUILDING EXPERTISE THROUGH GRANT’S CPD TRAINING IN IRELAND’S CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
With the construction industry expanding in response to housing demand and regulatory reform, skills development and technical competence remain central to successful project delivery. With heating technologies evolving rapidly and compliance requirements becoming more stringent, Grant has positioned professional education as a core pillar of its industry support, helping construction professionals stay aligned with modern building standards.
Through its RIAI and Engineers Ireland approved Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme, Grant delivers free-of-charge technical training to architects, engineers, energy assessors and building professionals at its purpose-built Training Academy in Birr, Co. Offaly, as well as through tailored 1-2-1 sessions with practices and construction firms across Ireland.

CPD Courses Supporting Modern Heating Design
Grant currently offers three certified CPD courses designed to support professionals navigating changes in heating system design and specification:
1. An Introduction to Air to Water Heat Pumps, Condensing Oil & HVO-ready Boilers, and Wood Pellet Boilers
2. Condensing Oil, Wood Pellet, and Heat Pump Product Training
3. Heat Pump Technology & Appropriate Heat Emitter Sizing
Each course addresses practical considerations across specification, system design and compliance, providing participants with a clearer understanding of system efficiency, heat emitter sizing and performance optimisation. In doing so, the sessions support professionals delivering projects in line with current NZEB and Part L requirements.
Strengthening Industry Collaboration
Beyond technical knowledge, Grant’s CPD programme supports improved coordination across the construction supply chain. By giving designers, consultants and contractors greater clarity around heating system integration, the training helps reduce specification uncertainty and supports smoother project delivery.
Keith Scully, Training Manager at Grant, comments:
“At Grant, we design and manufacture highly efficient heating technologies that make a real difference, but equally important is ensuring the industry has access to clear, practical education. Our CPD sessions are developed to reflect current regulations and emerging technologies, enabling professionals to approach heating design with greater confidence and accuracy.”

Building Technical Capacity for the Years Ahead
As the construction sector continues to scale delivery while meeting evolving performance standards, access to high-quality technical training will remain essential. Grant’s CPD programme provides construction professionals with the knowledge required to understand modern heating technologies, including the Aerona R290 air-to-water heat pump and integrated system approaches for new housing developments.
By investing in structured education and industry collaboration, Grant continues to support the development of technical expertise across Ireland’s construction sector — helping ensure that heating systems are designed, specified and delivered with accuracy and long-term performance in mind.
